2 days to go before sugar withdrawals to start

I know, I know...I hate New Year's Resolution. However, the year 2009 was a year of great change for my husband and I. School, new jobs, moving, and deciding many major decisions on the direction of our life has been the main focus of this year. 2010 will be an extension of many of these life changing moves. First, I will be graduating with my bachelor's in February from University of Phoenix. YAY! My husband,...we'll call him JBob, will be starting his RN degree program in January. I will then be starting my master's in March. However, the real main focus of the last few years has been trying to get pregnant. I have PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome), which makes it very difficult to get pregnant. I've tried clomid, ovidrel, femara, nutrition control, and all sorts of holistic approaches with no results. The only thing that will solve the problem is to lose weight. Losing weight, as every overweight American knows...is hard. I also got a lot of emotional crap going on since it seems EVERY woman who has working ovaries around me gets pregnant while I find the ability allusive. So, taking charge is the only thing I can do at this point and focus on being as healthy as I can and losing weight. I have decided to take responsibility and make the commitment. I decided, January 1st, begins my New Year's resolution of losing 30 lbs in 6 months. I think 5 lbs a month is reasonable, healthy, and a maintainable amount of weight to lose. If I lose more than 5 lbs a month, GREAT! However, I thought the blog will help me see my progress and also give me an outlet for some of the thoughts that I have along the way. For all those beginning their losing weight New Year's Resolution, good luck!

  1. Good for you! I wish you the best of luck. I'm not big on New Year's resolutions either as you can see from my blog:
